PAC goes after 18 teachers for illegally withdrawing GH¢188K with fake certificates

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has ordered the Ghana Education Service (GES) to investigate 18 teachers in Amansie Central who illegally promoted themselves, resulting in a financial loss of GH¢188,000.

These teachers upgraded their positions without proper authorization, leading to increased salaries.

The Amansie Central District Education Director, Vincent Ben Ameyaw, reported that GH¢34,000 has been recovered so far, with efforts ongoing to recover the remaining GH¢152,966.
