The double salary saga involving some former Ministers and MPs who served under the Mahama-led government was also high on the agenda.

The Ministers and MPs cited for receiving double salaries are currently being investigated by the Police CID. A total of 25 ex-appointees were initially invited by the CID for questioning over allegations of having received double salaries as MPs and ministers, a claim most of them have denied. 18 of them were reportedly later asked to disregard the invite by the CID.

President Nana Akufo-Addo on Friday presented to Parliament, a list of the total number of employees at the Presidency. The release of the list is in compliance with Section 11 of the Presidential Office Act, 1993 (Act 463), which requires the President to submit annually to Parliament, a report on the staffing position of the Office of the President.

The breakdown was given as nine ministers of state, 27 presidential staffers, 256 other/junior appointees and 706 employees of public/civil service staff.
