Presidential Aspirants of the People’s National Convention (PNC) will pay GH¢50,000 as filing fee after paying GH¢1,000 to pick their forms when nominations are open.
This was made known by the National Chairman of PNC, Bernard Mornah when President Presidential aspirant, Rev. Samuel Adjei-Debrah visited the National Headquarters to make his intentions of wanting to become a presidential aspirant known to the party.
He said the National Chairman will pay ¢30,000, General Secretary will pay ¢20,000, the National Treasurer will also pay ¢20,000 amongst others.
Bernard Mornah explained that before, the PNC was not taking money for a filing fee because it believes in giving the rich and the poor the opportunity to express themselves and show what they can do to help but now, the party has decided to take the money for its own development.
He also advised the aspirants not to present themselves as flagbearers to the people until they have gone through the required process and elected as flagbearer.
