The brutality meted out to a female customer with a baby by Frederick Amanor Skalla, a Police Officer at the Shiashie branch of MIDLAND Savings and Loans Company, is a dent on Ghana’s human rights reputation, POS Foundation, has said.
A statement issued by the Foundation said : “Our attention has been drawn to a video circulating on social media in which an armed police man is seen brutalizing a nursing mother at a banking hall confirmed to be MIDLAND Savings and Loans.
“POS Foundation is saddened by this occurrence and unreservedly condemn the act. This is an indictment on Ghana’s Human rights reputation and must not be tolerated.
“So far the officer in question has been identified and investigations are ongoing. Meanwhile the banking institution has issued a public statement.
“Nevertheless, POS Foundation will follow up with the case to ensure the proper actions are taken and the case is not swept under the carpet.”
