Presidential results will be announced at all regional collation centres before final declaration – EC

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that presidential election results for the December 2024 elections will be declared at each of the 16 regional collation centres before the final announcement at the national headquarters.

Dr. Bossman Asare, EC's Deputy Chairman, shared this update during the launch of CODEO's election observation activities.

He explained that political parties have agreed to this format, with agents at polling and collation centres.

This change, part of the CI 127 regulation, aims to boost transparency by allowing voters to follow results region by region.

A similar process was used successfully in 2020.
