The Concerned Youth Association of Asante Akyem North Constituency has called on IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to bolster security in the constituency ahead of the December 7 elections.
Speaking at a press conference on November 16, the group raised concerns over alleged intimidation targeting Independent parliamentary candidate Ohene Kwame Frimpong.
The group highlighted escalating tensions, including a reported attack on Frimpong's supporters in Agogo.
They attributed the incidents to Frimpong's growing popularity due to his contributions to local development.
With three candidates—NPP's Andy Appiah Kubi, NDC's Kofi Asamoah, and Frimpong—vying for the seat, the group urged authorities to ensure fairness and peace during the elections.
