Proponents of anti-gay bill to march to Supreme Court October 8 over delays

Supporters of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, known as the Anti-Gay Bill, are organizing a peaceful march to the Supreme Court on October 8, 2024.

They will gather at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra to submit a petition demanding a timeline for the court's ruling on the bill, which has been pending since its passage by Parliament on February 28, 2024.

Lead advocate Sam George expressed frustration over the delays, emphasizing the need for urgent action on this significant national issue that seeks to criminalize LGBTQ+ activities in Ghana.
