Proponents of the Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, also known as the anti-gay bill, are protesting today, October 8, to demand the president's prompt approval of the legislation, which has been pending since its passage by Parliament on February 28.
The protest follows a Supreme Court ruling on July 17 that postponed decisions on related anti-gay cases until all legal matters are resolved.
Lead advocate and MP Samuel Nartey George urged the Chief Justice to expedite the resolution process, emphasizing that delays hinder justice and calling for timely action from all parties involved in the case.
