Drama unfolded at Aburaso in the Atwima Kwanwona Constituency on Wednesday when pupils lined up on the streets to make the popular ‘Yere se sa mu’ sign to call for the change in government in the December polls.

The pupils made the gesture when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo stormed the area with other party stalwarts to campaign ahead of the December polls.

The convoy of the NPP flagbearer passed through Agric Nzema to Aburaso and the huge crowd that followed them caught the attention of the pupils.

The teachers and pupils in virtually all the primary schools in the community left their classrooms and rushed to the roadside to catch a glimpse of the NPP flagbearer.

The pupils stunned everybody when they started to make the ‘change’ sign to welcome Nana Akufo-Addo to the area.

Some of the pupils, who called for change, were seen racing after Nana Akufo-Addo’s convoy.

Change sign

The ‘change’ sign indicates that President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) should be voted out of office on December 7.

Drama

The Agric Nzema incident was memorable and dramatic because the famous gesture was made in public by minors.

The pupils are also suffering due to untold hardship in the country, hence their decision to praise Nana Akufo-Addo, a resident declared.
