The National Reform Party (NRP) will hold its first national delegate's congress in late July or early August to elect its flagbearer for the December 8 elections.

More than 1,800 delegates will attend the congress whose venue is yet to be determined by the national leadership.

The National Chairman of the NRP, Mr. Peter Kpordugbe, announced this at just ended national council meeting held at Bolgantanga in the Upper East Region.

He reminded the gathering of the need to work hard in the coming months to enable the party to clinch victory in the next polls.

"We are in this game to win," stressed the national chairman, who urged executives to put in place concrete measures that would encourage the electorate to join the party in their numbers.

Mr. Kpordugbe said the meeting of the national council of the NRP was held in the Upper East Region in recognition of the efforts of the people of the region," who have demonstrated the spirit of reform to an uncommon degree."

The meeting deliberated on a number of issues such as organisation, development strategy, funding policy and administration, and electoral regulations.
