Regulator’s financial focus threatens competitive 5G market – Dowuona

Samuel Dowuona, Managing Director of TechGh24.com, has expressed concerns over the 5G licensing agreement awarded to NextGen Infraco, citing the regulator's focus on financial gains over market growth.

He believed the decision may lead to a monopoly, perpetuating market imbalances.

Dowuona suggested dividing the contract among multiple players to prevent dominance and promote competition.

He emphasized on the need to acknowledge Significant Market Power (SMP) and take corrective measures to ensure a balanced market, rather than repeating past errors that favor a single player.
