John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for what he calls severe economic mismanagement, leading to widespread hardship for Ghanaians.
Speaking at a rally in Bodi, Western North Region, on November 13, Mahama highlighted the soaring prices of basic goods, such as kenkey, which has increased from GH₵1 during his tenure to GH₵5 under the NPP.
He argued that poor economic policies have worsened the cost of living and urged voters to reflect on these struggles ahead of the elections.
“They promised us prosperity, but today, many Ghanaians can barely afford necessities,” Mahama stated, emphasizing the need for change.
