Anti-corruption campaigner and lawyer, Martin Kpebu, has called for the prosecution of former finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta and officials of Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd (SML) for causing financial loss to the state.
Citing the KPMG audit report, Kpebu claims SML failed to deliver on its contract, necessitating quantification of losses and holding those involved accountable.
He advocates terminating the revenue mobilisation deal between the Ghana Revenue Authority, Finance Ministry, and SML.
An investigation by The Fourth Estate revealed irregularities and false claims by SML, prompting President Akufo-Addo to suspend the contracts and commission an audit, which further exposed SML's failures.
