The Senior Staff Association of the University for Development Studies (SSA-UDS) has ended its local strike following a productive meeting with key stakeholders, including the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and university management.
The decision to suspend the strike was influenced by assurances from GTEC that the association's concerns would be addressed.
However, the national strike action, which started on September 16, 2024, remains in effect.
SSA-UDS urges its members to continue supporting the national strike until a satisfactory resolution is achieved from the National Executive Council of SSA-Universities of Ghana (SSA-UoG).
