Sammy Gyamfi demonstrates how CJ and SC judges ‘erred’ in their ruling

Sammy Gyamfi, NDC's National Communication Officer, has criticized Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo for misrepresenting court rules during a ruling on October 30, 2024.

He claimed that the Chief Justice incorrectly stated that the Speaker of Parliament could only be served personally on Mondays, while the official circular allows for legal documents to be served to the Parliament's Legal Department on that day.

Gyamfi accused her of acting hastily and dishonestly, labeling the situation disgraceful.

The Supreme Court's decision dismissed Speaker Alban Bagbin's attempt to declare four parliamentary seats vacant, intensifying the debate on the Speaker's powers.
