The Electoral Commission will begin the second round of the voters’ exhibition exercise today.
The EC is extending the exercise for eight more days to allow those who did not get the opportunity to register to do so.
The exercise which will end on August 12, will also offer opportunity for first time voters to register. It comes after complains that some of the NHIS registrants could not register during the previous exercise.
The NPP and some individuals have called for the extension in other not to disenfranchise the NHIS registrants.
NPP MP for Efutu, Alexander Afenyo Markins has lauded the EC for the move.
“In all fairness and sincerity, let me commend the electoral commission for what they have done and pray this gesture will continue”.
