Founder of Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has blamed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the collapse of gold dealership firm, Menzgold.

According to the Prophet, the President and his government appear to be in the business of destroying the businesses of Ghanaians and so crashed Menzgold boss, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly called NAM 1.

Prophet Badu Kobi strongly rebuked the Akufo-Addo in front of his congregation, stating categorically that he is the voice of the nation and so will not sit unconcerned whiles things get out of hand.

In an angry tone, the Prophet insisted that the government was wrong for going after NAM 1 because he created a business to benefit lots of Ghanaians, but due to President Akufo-Addo's "parochial political partisanship stand", his administration gleefully destroyed Menzgold.

“They are destroying people’s businesses since they came into power by reason of political partisanship. And in my day, you don’t spoil anybody’s business. If they came for the nation to be better as they said, then they must change. Because most businesses are on their knees because of their parochial political partisanship stance, and in my day, I say no to them”

“Why is it that only few and themselves are enjoying while other businesses, they’re finding all means to crash it including NAM 1? They’re wrong because people like NAM 1, they should have brought [him] his business under scrutiny, helped him, reviewed a whole lot of things and let him be moving on. It is because it’s a business and they’ve done it to most…business and I put it to them, they must stop that thing", he warned.

He further cautioned the President not to think he "owns Ghana" and that he should "go and learn about good governance".

“In Ghana, I’m the voice that must speak for the leaders to do what is right. And for international, I am the voice to tell what is about to happen and God perfects it for nations to sit up. Now for Ghana, some things are happening and I’m the best person to tell them they’re wrong. And I use this medium to speak to the leader of this nation, Nana Akufo-Addo who is the President, that from today if they don’t understand governance, they must go and learn...Ghana is not for them. It is not a Monarchy”, he said.
