Seven Democracy Hub protesters discharged

Seven of the 53 Democracy Hub protesters facing trial have been discharged by the state.

Among those released are Kingsley Adiedu, Seth Cofie, Gloria Louis, and Nii Quaye Hammond.

State attorneys announced the dismissal of charges against these seven while confirming they had filed additional disclosures and will present witness statements at the next hearing on November 21, 2024.

Nicholas Normeshie, the lawyer for the discharged protesters, welcomed the decision, affirming their innocence and expressing doubt about any future re-arrests.

The remaining protesters will continue to face trial as the case progresses.
