Madina MP Francis Xavier-Sosu has praised the NDC’s ‘No academic fees’ policy for its potential to help talented but financially disadvantaged students.
Speaking at the 2nd Edition of the Sosu Best Teacher Awards, he highlighted the story of 17-year-old Joseph Luther, who excelled in his WASSCE exams but struggled financially to pursue his dream of becoming a dentist.
Xavier-Sosu’s team awarded Joseph a one-year full scholarship to study Dentistry. The MP emphasized the importance of accessible education, committing to educational equity, and ensuring that financial barriers don't hinder students' opportunities.
