State attorneys oppose bail application for 20 anti-galamsey protestors on remand

State Attorneys have opposed a bail application for 20 anti-galamsey protestors currently on remand, filing new affidavits against their release.

This follows criticism from a High Court Judge, who rebuked the attorneys for not attending previous hearings.

The State Attorneys claimed they were unaware of the bail applications but maintained their opposition, despite the court's earlier decision to grant bail to 21 of 53 protestors.
