The Minister for Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso Boakye, has called on individuals and organizations to stop placing unauthorized advertisements and notices on public road infrastructure.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Flower Pot Overpass on November 19, 2024, he highlighted the negative impact of these practices on road safety, public aesthetics, and user guidance.

Asenso Boakye urged the Advertising Association of Ghana, local assemblies, and the police to enforce regulations and collaborate with the National Road Authority to address the issue.

On the Flower Pot Overpass, the minister detailed its features, including an 802-meter viaduct, dedicated pedestrian and cyclist lanes, and seamless connectivity across key areas in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area.
