The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has urged the Civil and Local Governance Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) to reconsider its planned strike starting on November 7, 2024.
CLOGSAG announced the strike due to frustrations over the government's delays in implementing a long-negotiated salary structure, which has not been executed despite a Memorandum of Understanding agreed upon over a year and a half ago.
The FWSC emphasized the government's readiness to engage in discussions to resolve the salary dispute and encouraged CLOGSAG to return to negotiations instead of proceeding with the strike.
