The Circuit Court has granted bail to ten anti-galamsey protesters, including activist Raphael Williams, each required to pay GHS20,000 with one surety.
However, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the protest's convenor, was denied bail for the third time due to opposition from the Attorney General's Department.
Another detainee, Fanny Otoo, who was unwell, received bail of GHS20,000 with two sureties.
The case will resume on October 14, 2024, after the State filed an affidavit opposing bail for 20 other protesters, prompting the judge to ensure proper service of documents to their lawyers.
