The CPP, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s party, called this an "unfortunate gaffe," arguing the day celebrates Nkrumah's pivotal role in Ghana’s independence.
They urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to leave a positive legacy instead of undermining Nkrumah’s contributions.
The CPP highlighted the historical context of Nkrumah’s leadership and accused the NPP of distorting facts to diminish his legacy.
