A gang-rape video capturing four Junior High School male students at Bantama in the Ashanti Region, has angered Ghanaians with many condemning the teenagers for engaging in such an “immoral and disgusting” act.
In the viral video, the four teenage boys overpowered a young girl and raped her in turns as she struggled for freedom.
The video which is about 5 minutes captures the faces of both culprits and the victim.
This act by the boys has sparked shock among Ghanaians with many describing it as very worrying for boys at their level to engage in such demoralised act.
Meanwhile, three of the suspected rapists are in the grips of the Ashanti Regional Police command while the victim is currently in the care of the police undergoing psychological counselling.
But expressing their views on Ghanaweb TV, some Ghanaians want the culprits to be brought to book so as to deter other teenagers from doing same.
A Senior High School student says, “They have to be arranged at the independence square for soldiers and police men to cane them.”
