A final year student of the University of Education-Winneba (UEW) Sani Majeed passed on Thursday evening while receiving treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital in Accra.
Sani Majeed who finished his final paper on Tuesday, 7th September 2021, was last seen with friends exhibiting their skills in gymnastics.
Sources within the school told Atinkaonline that, the UEW Level 400 Physical Education student broke his neck while displaying acrobatics with colleagues after their last paper.
According to the source, the UEW student was rushed to the Winneba Trauma Hospital for medical treatment but was later transferred Korle-Bu Teaching hospital in Accra where he passed on.
Sources at Korlebu said Majeed’s fractured neck affected his spinal cord and that he needed immediate surgery.
