The University of Ghana Council has reappointed Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu for a second term in office as Vice-Chancellor.
His second term in office takes effect from August 1, 2020, to 31st July 2021 when he retires from the University.
The decision to reappoint Prof. Oduro Owusu was taken at a University Council meeting June 25 and June 30, 2020.
Prof. Oduro Owusu was first appointed as Vice-Chancellor of the University in 2016, taking over from Prof. Ernest Aryeetey.
Prior to that, he was serving as the Provost of the College of Basic and Applied Sciences at the University.
Meanwhile, Prof. Felix Ankomah Asante has also been appointed as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University, in-charge of Research, Innovation and Development.
His appointment takes effect on August 1, 2020.
He succeeds Professor Francis Dodoo.
The Appointments and Promotions Board also announced the appointment and promotion of several other staff of the University.
