The Accra regional police command is questioning more eyewitnesses in the Commonwealth stabbing as it prepares to arraign the suspect before court.
Reports gathered by Starrfmonline.com indicate that the two were reportedly involved in a heated argument while returning from a funeral
The argument, however, got messy which angered the suspect, George Osei to reach for a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times upon arrival at the university.
The victim was rushed to the Legon Hospital but reportedly died from his stab wounds.
Speaking to Starr News, the Accra regional police command PRO ASP Efia Tenge said they are making frantic efforts to ascertain the real motive behind the ghastly stabbing.
“For now we don’t know what the argument was about but what we know is that they are attending a funeral and on their way back an argument ensued between the two of them which escalated when they got on campus and of them used something to stab the other,” noted ASP Tenge.
“And that as to whether it was a bottle or a knife that one has still not yet been established,” she added.
According to her information, the police had been able to speak to some witness but that is not all, as more are being questioned.
“As soon as we are done, whatever we have, we shall take him before court,” she stated.
