Wa Municipal Chief Executive Tahiru Issahaku Moomin has labeled the recent murders in the Upper West Region as coordinated crimes, noting inconsistent patterns in the attacks.
Unlike previous killings involving missing body parts, recent victims were found slaughtered with bodies intact, adding to the confusion about the motive.
This follows the murder of Opoku Richard, found with his throat slit in Wa.
With 17 murders in three years, Moomin assured that a regional council meeting on July 16 would address the issue. MP Yusif Sulemana urged the Interior Minister to act, noting a self-imposed curfew in response to the violence.
