Works and Housing Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah acknowledged delays in addressing Accra's flooding issues.

Speaking on JoyNews' PM Express, he highlighted the challenges due to insufficient infrastructure.

Despite efforts, including the reconstruction of the Nima-Paloma storm drain and a new Flood Early Warning System, progress is slow.

The government has allocated $250 million for the Greater Accra Resilient and Integrated Development (GARID) Project to improve drainage systems.

Upcoming projects include storm drains in Kaneshie and retention ponds near Aburi. Nkrumah remains hopeful for progress to mitigate flooding in Accra.
