Family of the late Police Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi who was shot in the attack carried out by a gang of six men at Kwabenya Police Station have expressed satisfaction over the arrest of two suspects and 2 fugitives who escaped from lawful custody.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante-Apeatu on Thursday announced at a press conference that, two out of the seven fugitives have been re-arrested.
Speaking on Frontline today [Friday], the brother to the late Inspector, William Amoako said, even though they are pleased, at the efforts employed by the police, they still have pains in them for losing their brother.
‘’We still habour pains because even if the police arrest all the suspects, our brother will not come back to life but we pray the police arrest all of them,’’ he added.
He however revealed that, the family will celebrate the one week of the late Inspector on Sunday January 28, 2018.
He also commended the media for their great work and effort towards the demise of the late officer.
He said, the constant discussions on both radio and television helped in apprehending the suspects.
