We need buses not Deputy MD - STC workers

Workers at the State Transport Corporation (STC) are protesting the appointment of a third deputy managing director, arguing that the two deputies already in place are sufficient.

They believe the appointment is a misuse of public funds and are urging the corporation to focus on acquiring more buses and addressing overdue pension payments.

The workers highlighted challenges such as a dwindling fleet of operational buses and outstanding provident fund contributions and statutory deductions.

They have vowed to continue their protest until the appointment is revoked.
