Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has called for urgent legislation to cap the size of Ghana's Supreme Court, which currently has no upper limit.
This follows the nomination of two new judges, amid concerns over the court's growing size.
Bagbin emphasized the need for Parliament to decide on an appropriate cap during constitutional reforms.
Deputy Minority Leader Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah requested more time for vetting nominees.
Additionally, MP Dr. Kwaku Afriyie was expelled from the chamber by Bagbin for disrespectful remarks during the proceedings, highlighting tensions over the issue.
