The Ghana Health Service (GHS) is expanding fibre optic connections to 740 health facilities nationwide to improve healthcare delivery, according to Director General Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye.
Speaking at the District Directors of Health Service conference in Ada, Dr. Kuma-Aboagye announced that 200 facilities are already connected, with the remaining sites to follow once their internal systems are ready.
This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of healthcare professionals, enabling services like telemedicine and uninterrupted data access, ultimately improving healthcare across Ghana.
