Labour expert Austin Gamey has blamed SSNIT's pension fund issues on long-standing violations of management rules.
SSNIT faced backlash for attempting to sell a 60% stake in four hotels to Bryan Acheampong's Rock City Hotel, a deal stopped by labor unions' strike threats.
Gamey highlighted government delays in remitting pension funds and called for a thorough review of SSNIT’s governing structure, including the National Pensions Regulatory Authority, to address accountability and improve pension management.
He stressed the need for fundamental changes to resolve these deep-rooted issues.
