We will do clean politics without insults – NDC Chairman assures Ghanaians
Newly-elected National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has vowed that the party, under his leadership, will respect the virtues and culture of the country by refraining from the use of vulgar languages in politics.

In his words, “I will bring anybody who veers off this line to book because we believe that we can do clean politics, send our message to Ghanaians and Ghanaians will have confidence in our message and vote for us without insult, vilification, or any of those negative traits.”
He was speaking at the national thanksgiving service at the Church of Pentecost, Teshie-Nungua in Accra.
The all-white service was to thank God for a successful national executive election held at the Accra International Conference Centre on November 17.
The Area Head for Teshie-Nungua Area of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Alfred Koduah, on his part, said there was no need for politicians to add insults when addressing citizens or opponents on issues facing the country.
Hence, “My appeal is that, mind your language. You can say whatever you want to say. You can communicate without insulting anybody. Sometimes the insults are too much.”
He said that it does not speak well of the culprits who are viewed as societal role models and most importantly leaders of the country.
Rev. Koduah, stressed that a discourse, without insults, among parties, is possible.
He appealed to party leaders and politicians to go beyond verbal abuse and focus more energy on moving the country forward.
“Ghana must move forward. Therefore, we have to chart a new way of politics by avoiding insults.” He recommended.
