Campaign team for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region has indicated they owe no supporter apologies for failing to deliver victory to the party.
The Andy Ocrah team was responsible for delivering over one million votes to the NDC’s war chest and 13 parliamentary seats for the party.
The team however failed to achieve the and further drop votes by about 3%.
Two of the NDC’s four seats in the Ashanti Region were also lost as a result of which angry party supporters have re4sorted locking up the party’s regional headquarters.
However a member of the campaign team in the region who doubles as Municipal Chief Executive for Asokore Mampong, Nurudeen Hamidan insists the team has no apology to render anyone.
“We are all members of the party and went into an election and lost. We must therefore share the blame and work together to resolve the cause of the defeat. If they want us to apologise because we lost who should we apologize to. The party is not a human being so I will take this opportunity to advise our people to be careful. Elections come with two results, you either win or lose”, he said.
