Wealth is dissipated in Ghana – Prof Frimpong-Boateng

Former Inter-Ministerial Committee Chairman, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, has raised concerns over Ghana's focus on wealth dissipation rather than creation.

In a JoyNews interview on July 24, he emphasized the need to shift from borrowing for infrastructure to sustainable development projects with long-term benefits.

Criticizing the current borrowing practices, he stressed the importance of involving universities and research institutions to ensure projects are sustainable.

Prof. Frimpong-Boateng highlighted that creating wealth through strategic development and leveraging local expertise is crucial for the country's progress and reducing reliance on borrowing.
