Actress Yvonne Nelson is asking President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to make himself available to the ordinary Ghanaian so he could be asked questions in a town-hall setting.
Former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and John Evans Atta Mills held such meetings where ordinary Ghanaians got the opportunity to quiz and hold them to account on their tenures.
Under the Akufo-Addo administration, although there have been media encounters with the president, Ms Nelson is hoping Nana Akufo-Addo will also have a town hall meeting.
In a series of tweets, the multiple award-winning actress asked: “Mr President, when are Ghanaians getting a Q&A session/time with you? Not journalists or media personalities, I’m talking about (students, carpenters, drivers, doctors, waakye sellers, tailors, hairdressers, mothers, etc) we have a lot of questions”.
