Women must ensure they move forward in all spheres despite challenges – Nana Oye Bampoe Addo

Former Gender Minister Nana Oye Bampoe Addo has encouraged women to persevere despite the challenges in politics, highlighting the abuse and derogatory treatment they often face.

Speaking on JoyNews, she stressed the importance of resilience and collaboration with men to advance Ghana's development.

Addo called for a unified effort among government, civil society, and traditional leaders to overcome barriers that hinder women’s contributions.

She also emphasized the role of education in empowering women and urged political parties to support and mentor women to ensure their active participation in leadership roles.
