The Former Deputy Minister of Ashanti Region Joseph Yamin has hinted that the leadership of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will soon change its Ashanti regional Chairman Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
According to him, the NPP party has planned to replace Wontumi with another party guru from Accra as the Campaign Chairman in the region.
A responsibility which according to him, should be played by the outspoken Chairman.
Mr.Yamin wondered why the party will be ungrateful to the hardworking Chairman who has invested heavily in it.
Speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, disclosed that vital information up his sleeves indicates that the party wants to replace Wontumi due to his ‘unsavoury comments’ and that he has been squandering money donated to the party in the region.
He claimed the party believes his demeanour will affect their votes in the region.
‘Watch the space, I am telling you the NPP wants to change Chairman Wontumi, that is very ungrateful on their part to say that he has been squandering the party’s money in the region, after he had invested heavily in the party,’ he alleged.
