Ace broadcast journalist with Accra based Peace FM has lashed out at the member of the NDC legal team, Law Abraham Amaliba over his ‘’Ghana will burn’’ comment.
The NDC lawyer commenting on the ongoing impeachment process of the Electoral Commissioner Madam Charlotte Osei, indicated that Ghana will burn if she is forcefully removed from office.
‘’Where are the CDDs? Where are the Occupy Ghana’s? If it were to be the NDC government all these people would be speaking by now. Where is Emile Short? Where is Professor Martey? This country will burn and we will see where all of us will be and so they should continue doing it.” He noted.
Meanwhile, the celebrated journalist, Kwame Sefa Kayi who was not enthused about the comment Mr. Amaliba described his statement as nonsensical which he must cease. He also reminded him that he (Amaliba) is of no importance to threaten the peace of the nation.
“You can’t threaten that this country will burn, what do you mean? Who is he, we’ve pampered politicians in this country for too long a time and so they think Ghanaians are subservient to them. He’s a lawyer and should know best, he should stop spewing out nonsense. What does he mean by Ghana will burn?
The embattled EC Chairperson is expected to answer for six allegations out of the 27 accusations leveled against her by her two deputies Amadu Sulley (in charge of Operations), and Georgina Amankwa (in charge of Corporate Services).
This follows her appearing before the Chief Justice at the Supreme Court on Monday, December 11, after the President forwarded a petition by Forson Ampofo and Godsway Dzado, both drivers at the EC office for her impeachment in relation to alleged corruption and mismanagement.
