The Nigerian Army has announced that 314 Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists have surrendered to the troops in Borno State.
In a statement released on Wednesday, June 29, the army also rescued 12 farmers.
It was disclosed that the surrendered terrorists are currently undergoing profiling.
The army terms this a huge success in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the North East.
"The ongoing offensive onslaught against terrorism in the North East recorded another success today, June 29 2022, as 314 BokoHaram/ISWAP fighters surrendered to troops in Bama LGA of Borno State. Additionally, 12 farmers were also rescued by the troops. Profiling of the surrendered terrorists is ongoing," the statement read.
