AFCON 2021: West Africa guaranteed a finalist as Egypt, Cameroon fight for last slot

This is as a result of the semi-final pairing that pits the 2019 losing finalists, Senegal against Burkina Faso.

On the other hand, North Africa will be seeking a place in the final thanks to Egypt but they will have to eliminate hosts, Cameroon (sole Central African reps).

The 2019 final was a battle between West and North Africa with the latter through Algeria prevailing at the end.

As the AFCON rolls to an end with four matches remaining, Africa keenly awaits which continental bloc will have the honour of keeping the trophy till 2023 in Ivory Coast.
