Algeria has stopped all flights and boats with Europe, Reuters news agency reports Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad as saying.
It adds that the measure will come in on 19 March.
The country has 48 Coronavirus cases.
Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Djibouti, Morocco and Libya have also announced sweeping travel restrictions.
