Angola received, this Wednesday, November 17, a batch of one million, 154,000 and 400 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, in a donation from the Republic of France.
With this donation, the third delivery, the first being 100,000 and 800 doses, the second 495 thousand and 600 doses and the third one million 154 thousand and 400 doses, so far France totals 1 million 750 thousand and 800 doses of vaccines.
The Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, said that the donation reinforces the commitment made by the Angolan State to continue the fight against Covid-19, which is the first time that Angola receives the Astrazeneca vaccine in a number above one million.
For the ambassador of France to Angola, Daniel Vosgien, this donation is part of the cooperation agreements between the two countries, advancing that France has foreseen for Africa an amount in the order of 120 million vaccines.
Daniel Vosgien also said his government will continue to support the Angolan Executive in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
