Libya's Prime minister meets British counterpart to discuss stability

The Libyan Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah , held "a constructive meeting" with his British counterpart, Boris Johnson, on Thursday, June 24 in London, according to an official source.

The meeting focused on the ongoing work of the Libyan Government of National Unity to restore stability in Libya and prepare the country for safe, free and fair elections, scheduled for next December.

Dbeibah arrived in London from Berlin (Germany) for an official visit to the United Kingdom, during which he will have a series of meetings on political and economic issues with representatives of the British Government, said the same source.

In Germany, the Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity participated in the Berlin II Conference which, in its conclusions, underlined the need to organize general elections on December 24, 2021, according to the script of the Libyan Dialogue Forum Political.

The Berlin II Conference also calls for the departure of mercenaries, fighters and foreign forces from the Libyan territory, as well as the implementation of national reconciliation.
