Alfa Wasiu Faruq, the accused
A 40-year-old Muslim cleric (or popularly called Alfa) has been arrested by the police for a child abuse offense.
A Twitter user with the handle @iam_skamal posted picture of the little boy with numerous injuries result from a brutal punishment meted on him.
The Alfa, identified as Wasiu Faruq, reportedly committed the act against the victim, Abdulafeez Nurudeen, 10, in Ilorin at Onilaru area, Ogidi.
The reason for the brutal act on the boy was not disclosed, as well as the object used to inflicted injuries on him.
He added that the accused has so far been arrested by the police and charged to court.
