A Nigerian court released 119 individuals, including minors, on Tuesday after charges stemming from deadly August protests against economic hardship were dropped.
The accused faced serious charges, including treason and inciting a military coup, with one charge carrying the death penalty.
President Bola Tinubu had earlier ordered the release of all minors involved in the protests.
The case, which was to be heard in January, was taken over by the attorney general who dismissed the charges.
The protesters' lawyer called for their rehabilitation and compensation by state governments.
