Nigeria student beats university lecturer into coma

Management of Nigeria's University of Ilorin in the central Kwara State have reacted to an incident in which a student violently assaulted a lecturer.

A statement issued by the Vice Chancellor Dr. Fola Olowoleni sign, said the university had confirmed that the incident took place on Thursday, 11 November.

A Level 400 male student of the Department of Microbiology assaulted a female lecturer of his whose name was given as Mrs. Zakariyyah

The statement added that the security personnel at the time immediately took Salaudeen Wasiu Aanuoluwa into custody for questioning. He was, however, later handed over to the police for further investigate.
